Easy Fruit Dessert Recipe

Family meals are important time that we spend with our families. Preparing meals together with your children or grandchildren can be a special time of bonding, making memories, and sharing the highlights of your day. Some of my favorite memories are preparing meals with my children’s help when they were younger. “Fruit Dessert” is one of my family’s favorite dessert recipes that we would make together while preparing dinner. Children can help clean fruit and even cut some of the softer fruit with a plastic knife (if needed, for safety). Below is the recipe:

Fruit Dessert

Serves 4 (about 1 cup each)

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of fresh fruit of your choice (banana, apple, orange, grapes, berries, kiwi, etc.)
  • 6 ounces vanilla (or other flavored) yogurt

Directions:

Chop all fruit into bite-size pieces. Add yogurt to fruit mixture until fruit is coated. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

NOTE: If using bananas or apples, pour 1-2 Tablespoons of orange juice or lemon juice over the apples and bananas and stir; drain off juice before adding yogurt.
